TSA GUIDELINES
TSA Screeners and Check Point

Corpus Christi International Airport (CRP) Requires Boarding Passes at the
Security Checkpoint

The Transportation Security Administration of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security requires checkpoint screening of passengers and carry-on baggage.  Passengers must go through metal detectors and put their carry-on items through X-ray.  Passenger screening procedures include the use of explosives trace detectors and may involve manual pat-down searches, and secondary screening.

All lighters are banned from sterile areas beyond security checkpoints at airports.  This includes, for example, butane, absorbed-fuel, electric/battery-powered and novelty lighters. All passengers are required to remove outer coats and jackets for X-ray before proceeding through the metal detectors. Keep available your airline boarding pass and government-issued photo ID for each adult traveler until you exit the security checkpoint.  Laptops must be removed from cases.
