The Fire Prevention Safety Day activities include tours of the Corpus Christi Fire Department’s Smoke House, an ambulance and a ladder truck. In addition, students get a look at one of CCIA’s Crash/Fire/Rescue vehicles.
“It’s important to teach children not to fear fire fighters, especially when they’re wearing their protective gear, as it could mean the difference between life and death,” said John Hyland, Airport Chief of Public Safety.
CCIA also provide the students and Fire Department personnel with a free lunch courtesy of the Airport’s concessionaire, Game Time Food & Beverage, Incorporated.
